Staff
The Computer and Control Engineering (CCE) Division employs 35 persons (30
teachers, 5 technicians/adm.). Teaching staff consists of 11 professors (1 full,
2 associate, 8 assistant) and 19 Ph.D. students (assistants). The Division staff is
divided internally into 3 research-teaching groups
- Control Systems and Computer Engineering (Prof.
L.Trybus, ltrybus@prz.rzeszow.pl)
- Control Fundamentals. Multiprocessor and Vision
Systems (Prof. M.Wysocki, mwysocki@prz.rzeszow.pl)
- Logic Control and Artificial Intelligence (Prof.
J.Kluska, jacklu@prz.rzeszow.pl)
Labs
Research and teaching are supported by 6 laboratories

Industrial applications
The CCE Division specializes in development of prototypes at
instrument controllers which are later manufactured by local industry according
to University licenses. The controllers developed so far are as follows:
- PSW-8/84/166 Multifunction Controller
- 3 succesive versions; configuration by function blocks
- SWC-535 Heat Systems Controller - 2
loops: central heating, hot water
- RF-537 PID Controller - general
purpose adaptive/self-tuning controller
- WWT-20/84/166 Measurement Station - 12
channels; logic and sequence control
They are manufactured by two companies:
PSW/RF/WWT - ZPDA Ostrów Wielkopolski
SWC - Elmont Biała Podlaska
The Division also implemented 4 distributed control systems for the
following plants:
- Tunnel furnace for electrical insulators
- ZPE ZAPEL Boguchwała
- Water-treatment plant - ZUW Zwięczyca
- Sulphur oiling facility - Siarkopol
Grzybów
- Automated testing of radiators - ITGiS
Radom
TEMPUS programmes
